Chinese New Year

The festive season is finally here. This is my favourite holiday because not only does it have good food and lots of money(red packetssss), there is also the true meaning of family togetherness during this festive season. We usually have our reunion dinner on New Year's eve. This meal must have special dishes which represents many different things. Prawn, represents happiness. There are many more dishes that represent money, peace and joy too. Everybody has to be present for this meal which emphasises my point on family togetherness. On the first day of new year, we have to visit our relatives. This makes sure we catch up with those who we seldom meet throughout the year. This also brings the family closer together. Usually, for my family, we go visiting on the first day and people visit us on the second. Which makes things more simple for those who want to visit. Definitely, the chinese new yeat is a great time for children as they meet up with their cousins to play games and catch up over the holidays, and do not forget the red packets! Lastly, the festive season is a great time for fun and relaxing, chit chatting with relatives, eating great food, candies and lots of snacks. Just remember, take good care of your health and you can have a great time.
